It discusses the role of spatial practitioners in fostering just practices and highlights contributions on collaboration and network-building within the architectural discipline.
BegeFa-1 Publication: Collaborative Activation and Reuse of Existing Buildings in Germany
The first project phase BegeFa-1 of the research project “Collaborative Use of the Existing Building Stock – Perspectives for Families (BegeFa)” has been successfully completed. With its conclusion, both the research report and an interactive project map showcasing collaborative re-use housing projects across Germany are now available. This phase systematically examined existing community-led housing initiatives and generated key insights through interviews and a practice workshop. The results form the foundation for the follow-up project BegeFa-2, which will conduct in-depth case studies starting in January 2026.
